DJI Announces New Osmo Pocket — Compact Three-axis Stabilized Camera

With the new compact camera from DJI, it is designed to be easily used by users. It packs a host of intelligent features to help you capture those creative videos and photos in a portable form factor.

DJI Osmo Pocket

Coming in at just over 4-inches tall, the Osmo Pocket is the company’s smallest three-axis stabilized camera. It comes with a 1/2.3-inch sensor that records 12MP photos and 4K videos of up to 60fps at 100Mbps in stunning detail. The Osmo Pocket also has a built-in dual microphones and offers noise cancellation features.

With its three-axis mechanical gimbal, it compensates for movements and smooths these motions so that you can focus on composition and subject matter.

There’s a lot of features and modes in the camera. One of them is the ActiveTrack, where it allows the Osmo Pocket to recognize and follow subjects of your choice. With FaceTrack, it automatically recognizes a human face and locks the subject in center of the frame at all times.

In addition to that, there’s also the Timelapse and Motionlapse mode, to easily turn those minutes into mere seconds. The latter adds the dynamic element of camera movement to your Timelapse.

The Osmo Pocket can be connected to your mobile devices through your lightning cable or USB Type-C cables. Once you’ve connected, you can use the dedicated DJI Mimo app to serve as a monitor. There, you can utilize from two modes; Story Mode and Pro Mode.

The Osmo Pocket retails at US$349 (roughly RM1,462) and is available for pre-order. They will start shipping in December 15. For more information on the Osmo Pocket, you can head here to their official website.

Pokdepinion: It looks an exciting equipment to have. I still can’t believe how small and compact it is. I wouldn’t mind taking one out for a spin really.
