Doogee has just introduced their latest mid-range smartphone to the Malaysian market, the Doogee Y300 which costs a mere RM599, but sports a premium look that can trade punches with flagships.

The Doogee Y300 sports two 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass panels on both its front and back, with an aluminium frame. The whole package measures only 6.7mm thin and weighs 145 g.

A 5″ IPS display pushing a 720p resolution dominates the front. Thanks to the minimal bezels, the Doogee Y300 has a 80% screen-to-body ratio, which is among the highest in its price range.

The Doogee Y300 runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with a customized UI by Doogee. A 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6735 which feature four Cortex-A53 cores beats away under the hood, mated to 2GB of RAM. These specifications should be capable of offering sufficient performance for web browsing and some light gaming. For media storage, the Doogee Y300 comes with 32GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD.

Speaking about media storage, the 13MP Sony IMX219 rear camera offers sharp and detailed images according to Doogee. Battery life should be rather decent with the non-removable 2200 mAh battery. It offers dual SIM 4G LTE support too, and offers WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity.

Pokdepinion: The Doogee Y300 looks like a decent budget smartphone, especially if you like the design, like I do.
