If you are a HUAWEI Mate 20 series user and you’ve been waiting for the latest EMUI 9.1 update, well good news. The update will coming soon, specifically on the 27th of June 2019 which is a few days away from now.

With the new update, it brings in EROFS, a new super file system with improved file compression and 20% higher random read performance. The new upgrade will also see GPU Turbo being updated to version 3.0, coming with improved performance while lowering power consumption for a more stable gaming experience and high frame rate.

“Moon Mode” will also be brought to the Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X that helps you take better moon photos through the super zoom Leica triple cameras. Aside from that, Mate 20 series users will be seeing the new “incoming call video show” that replaces the traditional monotonous system ring tone and interface. You can set different self-made or third-party videos as the incoming call displays for different contacts.

Before you can upgrade to the latest EMUI 9.1, you need to make sure that your phone is not rooted and have more than 6GB of internal storage left. Make sure that your device is already update to the baseline version, which you can do by going through to Settings, System, Software update and finally Check For Updates.

Once you fit all the needs above, you can visit HiCare, where you can tap on ‘Apply’ to get the new EMUI 9.1 experience. Available for HUAWEI Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and Porsche Design Mate 20 RS, EMUI 9.1 will be available for other models soon.
