It looks like the folks from Epic Games has settled in acquiring the developer of Rocket League, Psyonix. The news was revealed just recently, where the acquisition will take place at the end of month (May 2019) or early June.

On PC, the game can be found on Steam. Once the deal takes place, Rocket League will make its way to the Epic Games Store. For those who have purchased the game, well you can still play the game and it will still be supported on the platform. The bad news is that the game will no longer be available for purchase on Steam after its transition.

From Psyonix’s point of view, they are expecting things for the game to grow with “frequent updates that have new features, new content, and new ways to play the game. We believe that bringing Rocket League to new audiences with more support is a win for everybody”.

Rocket League takes a twist in football (soccer in some parts of the world), but by playing with vehicles instead. The game is available to play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Pokdepinion: I wonder how will Steam respond to the news..
