Gintama Ranbu, otherwise known as Gintama Rumble, finally gets a release date for the Asia region. New English trailer is out as well.

Gintama Rumble Gets Asia Release Date

Bandai Namco Asia has announced the release date for the Asian version of its upcoming anime game Gintama Ranbu. If that name seems a bit odd, that’s because it’s going to be called Gintama Rumble in the Asia region. The game will have English subtitles, and will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4. The PS Vita version will be a Japan-only release.

The game will launch in the region day and date with the Japanese release on January 18th, and will include a Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon as Day 1 DLC. If you don’t know what that is and whether you’re a fan of the series or not, do a Google search of that and prepare yourself for laughter. And of course, the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon was picked by the fans. We never disappoint.

To celebrate the announcement we also get the first gameplay trailer that was released in Japan a few days ago, but this time it’s subtitled in English, so everyone can understand what it’s said. It shows how the game is basically a Musou-like title, or if you wanna stay closer to home, it appears very similar to Bandai Namco’s one-vs-army titles like the One Piece series.

As a bonus, we get the title of SPYAIR’s theme song, which will be “Scramble.” Do check out the trailer, alongside the TV commercial for the Japanese version.

Once again, it will be released in the Asia region (including Malaysia of course) on January 18th 2018. A western release has not been announced at the moment, but even if it doesn’t come, it should be easy to import the game.

Pokdepinion: I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again. Gintama is my favourite anime so a game based on the series is really exciting for me. Looking forward to reviewing the game ;)
