Goodbye Acer BYOC Apps — the Acer Cloud apps few cared for are shutting down soon
If you own an Acer computer, you may have noticed the abApps that come preloaded on your system. Few would probably give a damn about what most consider bloatware, but if you actually used it, you may want to pay some attention. Acer’s BYOC Apps are shutting down.
When Acer ends the abApps services on 30th September, your files will be removed from the cloud. Your files from the abApps can still be found on the original devices, just not on the cloud.
Acer will be terminating everything related to abApps, meaning the accounts, user details and files will all be removed from the cloud. Your AcerID will not be affected though.
