According to a survey published in June 2017, which more than 1.8 million driver-partners rely on Grab as a source of income, they earn 32% more income on a per-hour basis compared with average worker wages across all of Grab’s markets.

At Grab, our driver-partners are at the heart of our shared vision to improve the way people travel and bring people closer to things that matter to them. We want to ensure our driver-partners’ hard work pays off and that they have the right tools to make their jobs easier and increase their income. Through these new initiatives, Grab is working to make mobility safe and accessible for all its users, especially our driver-partners who are not only driving Grab as a source of income, but are a fundamental piece of our service Sean Goh, Country Head of Grab Malaysia

With the introduction of the campaign, it introduces a series of features such as;

  • Trip rating: Grab drivers now can provide feedback about their overall trip experience and passengers as either ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ and choose from several reasons of as to why.
  • Simplified driver incentives: Featuring a simplified screen featuring incentive progress bar, making it easier for drivers to keep track of their efforts
  • In-app Help Center for drivers: Assisting drivers to manage their account and obtain answers to their questions without having to call the Grab support line.
  • GrabAllStars: A driver loyalty program that rewards drivers with discounts and promotions from brands such as PETRONAS, Tesco, Celcom, Texas Chicken, and many more
  • Grab Driver Centers: A support center to cater to inquiries, registration, and training sessions for drivers.
  • Town hall and ‘teh tarik’ sessions: A series of meet-the-drivers and teh-tarik sessions to engage and have open dialogue session with drivers.

Besides that, the campaign will also introduce in-app training videos for drivers to learn on the processes in driving with Grab. Another feature is My Destination, which helps log in their final destination for the day and pick up a few rides on route there.

Last but not least, Selfie authentication is implemented as well. It provides drivers a more secured authentication and prevent fraud attempts.

Pokdepinion: There are a lot of Grab drivers that I know that will appreciate this move from Grab.
