honor 8 PrOreo is here

Good news honor 8 Pro users! Back in September honor Malaysia announced that they would be bringing the Android Oreo with EMUI 8.0 update to the honor 8 Pro. Now honor Malaysia have just released the beta version of the Android Oreo update with EMUI 8.0 which current honor 8 Pro can download and test out if you wish to do so.

The new Android Oreo update will bring in new features such as a ‘picture-in-picture’ mode (which acts like the split screen function already available on Android), more control over your notifications, the brand new Autofill feature (which remembers your login on your favourite apps) and a whole slew of other security features.

The honor 8 Pro rocks Huawei’s super fast Kirin 960 chipset under its hood together with 6GB RAM. Packed together with the powerful Mali G71 GPU that enables the honor 8 Pro to run heavy 3D games with relative ease makes this a beast of a device. Not to mention the huge 4000mAh battery. The Android Oreo update with EMUI 8.0 should improve the overall performance of the device as well, which honor Malaysia says will include a double tap to wake gesture, and a faster charging speed for the honor 8 Pro’s large battery.

Android Oreo also promises a much better performance with faster boot speed as well as smart background activity which limits the power consumption of any apps running in the background. This results in improved processing power as well as longer lasting battery performance.

If you want to become a beta tester for the Android Oreo with EMUI 8.0 update, kindly head on over to this link right here and just download the software. After that just install the software and login to your honor 8 Pro and you are good to go!

The honor 8 Pro is available for purchase right now through Vmall for a retail price of RM 1,999.
