HUAWEI brings VoWiFi to Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro; supported by U Mobile and Digi!

HUAWEI is adding a new feature to the HUAWEI Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagships, by enabling Voice Over WiFi (VoWiFi) starting this 30th January 2018. VoWiFi allows users to make calls via a WiFi connection, and is currently supported by U Mobile and Digi.

VoWiFi allows users to enjoy HD voice calls and seamless handover between VoLTE and VoWiFi. It also benefits frequent travelers, as calling via VoWiFi from overseas lets them enjoy local charges instead of exorbitant roaming charges. This is perfect for the Mate Series’ target market, which is business users.

Aside from saving costs when overseas, VoWiFi also allows you to make high quality calls in areas with poor cellular reception, as long as you have a WiFi connection. Needless to say, this update is a great enhancement to the HUAWEI Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones, which feature AI.

HUAWEI seems to be pretty dedicated to improving their current devices, with the honor 7X set to receive an update to enable face unlock. HUAWEI is also teasing an update for the nova 2i, which will be introduced on 25th January 2018.
