The HUAWEI Mate 20 might be HUAWEI’s most expensive smartphone yet. If you exclude the Porsche Design editions, of course. The HUAWEI Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro’s pricing were revealed in a price list which includes several other devices.

The HUAWEI Mate 20 is listed for Fr. 799 (~RM3333), while the Mate 20 Pro was listed for Fr. 999 (~RM4168). Considering that the prices of smartphones have been creeping up recently, we really aren’t too surprised by these price tags.

Taking into consideration that EU pricing is usually pricier than what we have to pay here in Malaysia, we did some quick maths. Converting the price of the HUAWEI P20 Pro in the list, and comparing it to what we have to pay for the P20 Pro here in Malaysia, the pricing doesn’t seem too far off, actually.

The HUAWEI P20 Pro was listed for Fr. 664.51, which is around Read. Pretty close to the RM2949 SRP we are paying for the HUAWEI P20 Pro here in Malaysia. Around RM200 less, but from what we understand that list is the cost price for retailers, so you will have to tack on some profit to get the final price tag.

Another leak by Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de reveals the storage and RAM configurations of the devices. The HUAWEI Mate 20 starts from 4GB + 128GB, ranging up to 8GB + 512GB. Meanwhile the Mate 20 Pro starts at 6GB + 128GB. There is also a third variant which is hinted to be a HUAWEI Mate 20 Porsche Edition, but starts at 4GB + 128GB. Somewhat curious for a premium model, but we will see when it launches.

The HUAWEI Mate 20 devices are going to launch this 16th October. Are you ready?

Pokdepinion: Nice to see that HUAWEI is starting from 128GB. Wonder if they will be dropping expandable storage this time around though.
