HUAWEI Mate 9 Extends VoLTE Support to UMobile including support for Sabah & Sarawak!

You don’t always hear good news when it’s related to UMobile, but this time around, it might be a shine of hope afterall, especially if you are a Huawei supporter. Huawei has just disclosed to us that its flagship Huawei Mate 9 smartphone will now support Voice over LTE (VoLTE) calls on UMobile’s 4G network nationwide; yep, that includes Sabah & Sarawak too. In case you’ve been caving for a while, VoLTE is a newer voice call technology that uses LTE networking to provide improved connectivity and deliver crisper HD voice, HD video and rich media.

Now, in this pursuit, Huawei Mate 9 is the only device in the market with VoLTE, available on ALL major LTE providers – including Digi, Yes 4G and Webe. Huawei has also reiterated its commitment to continue improving their mobile devices and extend VoLTE support to even more flagship devices of theirs.

Some details, the Huawei Mate 9 is a high-end smartphone powered by Kirin 960 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with expandable slot. It packs a 20-MP primary camera and a 8-MP front camera. Available in three colors; Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown and Black.

Pokdepinion: I’ve not been much of a VoLTE fan all the while, but seeing how Huawei is bringing VoLTE to all major providers, I guess it’s time to make the switch afterall?
