Every year, HUAWEI traditionally brings out their P-series and Mate-series to the market.  With the P20 being launched earlier in the year, it is expected that the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro will be coming with a Kirin 980 SoC.

HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro With Kirin 980?

[Leaked] HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro To Come With Kirin 980 27According to reports, the upcoming Mate 20 Pro may be something similar to the Mate RS Porsche Design which was launched earlier this year.

It wil feature an 18:9 panel that you can see, doesn’t comes with a notch on top of it. This may well mean that HUAWEI have opted to implement an under-the-display fingerprint sensor, which the vivo X21 and vivo NEX brought in before. Despite the image leak, we have no exact idea on how the setup will be for the back of the device. It may or may not offer a secondary fingerprint scanner on the rear.

The phone is expected to come with HUAWEI’s upcoming Kirin 980 SoC, despite it not being officially announced. We should expect to see it at the annual IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany. It may also feature a triple camera module, where it is reported that it will be featuring a 42MP triple camera setup.

It won’t be surprising if HUAWEI’s new GPU Turbo to be implemented in the new phone, which will boost the performance of the GPU and will reduce the power consumption of the battery.

While all this information is yet to be officially confirmed, we’ll know more soon as the launch of the device comes closer and closer. So till then, stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: Although it’s just a leak, I am kind of relieved that we are moving away from the ‘notch’ niche. It’s like a breath of fresh air. What do you think of the leak and how much do you think the new Mate 20 will be priced at? Let us know in the comment section down below.
