LG Electronics have announce of their plans to introduce the first suite of AI technologies for their V30 at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

LG V30 Set For AI

LG V30 Set For AI Features - All Set For MWC 2018! 21The new feature will be implemented and showcased first with their V30, their most advanced flagship smartphone to date. LG spent more than a year of research in focusing AI-based solutions, in order to deliver a intuitive user experience for their users. As you can probably figure out, it focuses on the camera and voice recognition.

Introducing Vision AI, which they claim to be the next generation of image recognition. With it, it automatically analyzes objects and recommends the best shooting mode from the phone’s mode, which includes: portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset.

Angle of view, color, reflections, back lighting, and saturation levels are all taken into account as the phone analyzes images to determine what the camera is focusing on in order to recommend the best setting.

Another feature that it provides is shopping advice, in the sense that it can scan QR codes and then provide shopping options (where to purchase the item, lowest price, other similar products, etc).

In addition, the new feature includes exclusive voice commands. Working with Google Assistant, there are a total of 32 LG-exclusive Voice AI commands, which is an increase from their 23 commands at the back of last year.

Despite focusing on the LG V30, certain AI features will not be limited to new LG models only, but also to existing LG smartphones through over-the-air updates, meaning no one is left out.

Pokdepinion: The news is really an interesting one. Quite excited to see what else is the brand new implementation of AI will bring to their devices in the future. Sadly their flagship devices aren’t being sold here in Malaysia. Here’s to hoping for that change.
