Logitech has just announced two new mice, a keyboard and a headset for gamers in the new Prodigy series, designed to enhance the way you play. The new series share the same attributes of high-performance technology, exceptional comfort and a sleek and modern design.

The two mice in the Prodigy are the Logitech G403 Prodigy gaming mouse and the Logitech G403 Prodigy Wireless gaming mouse. As you can imagine by the naming scheme, both mices feature similar specifications, except for the wireless capabilities of the latter. Both mice feature an ergonomic shape, with 10 g of removable weight to increase the weight of your mouse if you so desire.

Moving on, the Logitech G213 Prodigy keyboard is a full-sized keyboard designed for gaming and productivity. The slim body is designed for gamers of all levels, with a spill resistant design. With a gaming optimized anti-ghosting gaming matrix, it is tuned to keep you in control even when multiple keypresses are required. RGB illumination comes standard, configurable with Logitech Gaming Software. Macros can also be assigned to the function keys with the software. The Logitech G213 Prodigy keyboard costs RM349, and is covered by a 2-year limited hardware warranty.

The last but not least, the Logitech G231 Prodigy gaming headset features 40mm neodymium drivers and a unidirectional microphone for perfect immersion and easy communication with your teammates. The G231 Prodigy gaming headset is also designed for gaming marathons, which usually mean heat and sweat. The headsets feature an easily washable performance-sport cloth for a soft, comfortable fit even after long hours of use. The earcups can also swivel for a better fit, and can also lie flat to prevent breakage when packing it into your bag. The Logitech G231 Prodigy gaming headset costs RM299, and is also covered by a 2-year limited hardware warranty.

Pokdepinion: I really think starting a new series is a good step forward for Logitech. But considering the products seem like kinda a mix, it doesn’t really seem to entice anyone to get a full set from the same series. I mean, the keyboard is not even a mechanical keyboard, the headphones look decent, but they do have higher end audio products. The wireless mouse looks like a good choice for people who want an alternative to the G900 Chaos Spectrum, but aside from that, it looks like this new series is just a mishmash of new products with different target markets crammed into a single series.
