Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) will be hosting LEVEL UP KL 2017 in various locations within Bangsar South from the 4th and 9th of November 2017. Get a chance to meet some of the biggest local,regional, and international game developers, publishers, and technology providers!

MDEC To Host LEVEL UP KL 2017 - Some Big Names Are Coming To Town! 25For those of you who don’t know, LEVEL UP KL is an annual South East Asia Games Developers conference led by MDEC with the aim to develope the games and creative content industry, while providing a platform for the local region and community.

Expect tons of activities at LEVEL UP KL 2017 such as SEA Game Jam, LEVEL UP KL Conference, Workshops, Industry showcase and exhibition, South East Asia Game Awards, the official launch of LEVEL UP Inc, and venture into the Marvel Universe.

The SEA Game Jam, organized by IGDA Malaysia, is a 36-hour game jam which will see promising game developers from South East Asia region display skills and creativity in the art of game-making in a collaborative environment.

The main event, the LEVEL UP KL Conference will be a 2 full-day conferences featuring top industry players from around the world, covering both the business and technical facets from various game development platform such as PC,console, and mobile.

MDEC To Host LEVEL UP KL 2017 - Some Big Names Are Coming To Town! 26Get a chance to meet some of the world’s top games industry experts such as Brian Recktenwald of Naughty Dog, Tan Mei Ling and Teo Yong Jin from EA Motive and many more at the workshop session as they share their thoughts and experience on various topics such as game design, concept art and VR.

Visitors will also experience a taste of the Marvel Universe, as they will hold a talk session for students, academicians, and parents, featuring Danny Khoo, the Senior Producer at Marvel Entertainment as he shares his journey from being a KL-boy to a high flying figure at one of the world’s best entertainment studio.

At the previous LEVEL UP KL, MDEC expected an estimate figure of 500 people but it went higher than expectations, with over 600 attended. This year, they are expecting more, specifically 700 delegates from all over Malaysia and South East Asia.

There are different tickets for the event. Participants can purchase Conference-only ticket, Conference + Business Connection Program ticket, or individual tickets for the workshop.
