Microsoft has just announced the Microsoft Surface Duo and it seems like something that we are very much interested in! While there is very little information available at the time of writing, here’s a teaser video for your viewing.

From the looks of it, it has a 360° hinge that provides dual displays viewing and span applications across them both. It doesn’t have a foldable display so the durability is pretty much more obvious than the recent Samsung Galaxy Fold, although it gives you a divider in the center.

However, from the teaser, it seems like Microsoft has also optimized the applications to work together with the divider, giving an uninterrupted experience. Applications can be switched to full screen mode and their ‘previews’ can be shown on the other side of the display. The multi tasking feature looks seemingly cool too, turning the Surface Duo into a book style device.

Above all, it’s powered by Android and it seems to support stylus as well, albeit not having a stylus stowage compartment like the Samsung Galaxy Note series have.

There’s no camera visible on the outer shell, which gives that it might use only one internal camera for all things photography. Since the Surface Duo can be rotated 360°, I don’t see how this will be a bummer.

That’s all the information we have for now. Stay tuned as we will be looking at this device very closely and providing more updates as we get them. it is scheduled to be launched in the coming 2020 holidays.
