Western Digital latest NVMe SSDs were unveiled at MWC 2018. The Western Digital PC SN720 and SN520 are designed for those who need their data, and need it fast. Scalable for a wide range of implementations ranging from IoT and edge computing to your mainstream mobile computing systems, Western Digital’s NVMe SSDs are ready for anything.

Both drives feature Western Digital’s 64-layer 3D NAND flash. The Western Digital PC SN720 is currently sampling with select customers. It is available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities in the M.2 2280 form factor. Designed for class-leading performance, it offers speeds of up to 3400MB/s and 2800MB/s for sequential read and write, respectively. Meanwhile, the Western Digital PC SN520 is available in capacities up to 512GB and is offered in M.2 2280, M.2 2242 and M.2 2230 form factors. This enables greater design flexibility.

The PC SN520 and SN720 are the first of two drives built on Western Digital’s new vertically integrated SSD platform. The whole range will deliver a broad range of performance targets, form factors and power efficiency options to satisfy every niche.
