Why bother to buy cheap Android smart phones that range from RM150 to RM200 when you now have a better option. Microsoft has just launched the new Nokia 222 with a very affordable price tag starting from RM160 while packing some nice features for such a cheap phone. The Nokia 222 is available with two variant which are single SIM card and dual SIM options.

The Nokia 222 is just a basic phone like the Nokia 105, but the Nokia 222 offers several extra features that make it almost a smart phone, such as internet browsing and you know what? Social media apps like Skype, Facebook, Twitter and Messenger are also available. Both Nokia 222 variants run Nokia Series 30+ OS. Connectivity options include GPRS, Bluetooth v3.0, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

This tiny phone comes with a 2.4 inches QVGA 320x240px resolution display, 2MP rear camera. MicroSD card expansion is available and supports cards up to 32GB of storage thus it will be a good MP3 player (Ahem, no equalizer setting available) since Microsoft claimed that it is capable of 50 hours of playback. The Nokia 222 measures 116x50x12.9mm, and weighs 79 grams.

Suprised by 50 hours of MP3 playback? The Nokia 222 only relies on a 1100mAh battery that will power the phone for up to 29 days for the  single SIM Nokia 222 and 21 days for the dual SIM version. I have saved the best feature for last, the Nokia 222 will come with an integrated LED flashlight if somehow you have some trouble in the dark.

  • Pokdepinion : This is really a good phone but Microsoft should make Whatsapp available on this platform. Any other useful application would be good too. To be honest if I am searching for a budget-friendly and reasonably feature rich phone, the Nokia 222 single SIM will be my best bet! Compared to cheap Android smart phone? This wouldn’t lag like most cheap Android devices in the market.
