oBike, Singapore’s smart bike-sharing company, has announce today that they have struck a deal to partner with Grab.

oBike Partners Up With Grab

oBike Partners With Grab - Implements GrabPay! 32As part of the partnership, oBike will be integrating GrabPay, which is Grab’s mobile wallet into their mobile app, offering bike-riders another cashless payment option through the GrabPay wallet. The two companies also look forward to work closely together to improve the on-demand transport infrastructure in Singapore. They have hinted that more will be revealed in the coming weeks to come.

With the collaboration, the two companies aims to promote bike-riding as an alternative commute across the island-state. It will make urban cycling more convenient and accessible for commuters, and show their commitment to work for Singapore’s on-demand transport ecosystem.

Besides the ability to pay without the need of cash, oBike users will also be able to earn GrabReward points when they pay for their bike rides using GrabPay in the coming months. So get a ride and get started in racking up those points.

oBike was founded in Singapore last year in January, and they claim to be South East Asia’s first smart station-less bike-sharing company. The company currently operates in over 60 cities across 17 countries that includes; Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and more.

Pokdepinion: It isn’t getting much attention here in Malaysia, but if you’re one that uses it, this partnership will definitely be of convenience to you. Now you don’t need to worry of the need to bring money in order to ride. So start to use it and get rewards now!
