The OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to feature one of the best displays in the smartphone industry yet. Previous leaks have hinted at a 6.7″ QHD+ (1440p) display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, and the latest tweet from DisplayMate reveals that it got an A+ rating, which is DisplayMate’s highest rating.

This rating is shared with the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, and we can attest to the glory of the new Dynamic AMOLED panels. However while they offer HDR10+ support, they are capped at 60 Hz. The OnePlus 7 Pro might offer a bit less dynamic range but with the 50% higher refresh rate, it should be a lot better for gaming.

World’s first 90 Hz AMOLED display.

It’s worth noting that it won’t be the first to offer a 90 Hz refresh rate — that honor belongs to the ROG Phone — but it will be the first to offer a 1440p 90 Hz panel. Interestingly, few popular titles actually support a higher refresh rate than 60 Hz. But whenever developers decide to add 90 Hz support, we know for sure that the Snapdragon 855 is plenty capable of handling it, even at 1440p.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is slated to be OnePlus’ most expensive smartphone yet. And also probably OnePlus’ most feature-packed device. Here are the rumored specifications of the OnePlus 7 Pro:

It should be quite interesting to see how OnePlus will pull off their most expensive smartphone yet, given that the whole brand was based around the idea of being flagship killers, and telling consumers to #NeverSettle. Nonetheless, stay tuned as the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be launching this 14th May!
