A new OPPO CPH1917 has just been certified by SIRIM. So whatever it is, we are pretty sure it is making its way to Malaysia. The OPPO CPH1917 codename reportedly correlates to the new OPPO Reno trademark, although the device isn’t expected to be announced until next month.

SoyaCincau’s sleuthing work also found the OPPO CPH1917 certified on Bluetooth.com, which revealed more specifications of the OPPO Reno.

Confirmed OPPO Reno Specifications

  • Snapdragon 710, octa-core up to 2.2 GHz, 10nm FinFET
  • 6.4″ FHD+ display
  • 48MP + 5MP rear camera
  • 16MP selfie camera
  • WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz)
  • ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie

That’s all the specifications that were revealed by the Bluetooth.com listing. We still have no idea about the other hardware specifications of the OPPO CPH1917. If we take the OPPO R17 Pro into consideration, we may see up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The 48MP rear camera is also inline with their teaser caption, “Imagine, getting slightly closer” as the high resolution is just great for digital lossless zooming. It’s not exactly lossless, but hey, it worked fine when we were testing the HONOR View20.

The OPPO Reno is expected to be an all-new series in OPPO’s lineup. Do note that it isn’t yet another sub-brand, but it is just a series. Sort of like how Redmi was a series under Xiaomi. Was.

All we are hoping for is that the OPPO Reno will offer better bang-for-buck. As it stands, OPPO’s lineup is devoid of any value for money. The OPPO Reno will be formally introduced on 10th April, so stay tuned for more updates!

Pokdepinion: So it’s gonna be a mid-range device focused on camera features, but unlike the OPPO R-series?
