Overwatch New Support Hero Baptiste Unveiled

One of Blizzard’s most popular games, Overwatch, is set to receive one of the most exciting updates in recent times. A brand new support hero that is being described as a combat medic named Baptiste is coming soon.

Jean-Baptiste Augustin is a combat medic from Haiti and is orphaned during the Omnic Crisis. He soon joined a military group known as the Caribbean Coalition to make the most out of the situation, and enjoyed his time there helping people. When the Omnic Crisis ended, Baptiste struggled to adapt.

One group that was interested in his skills is Talon. Initially, Baptiste is content with Talon, but soon realized that he was in over his head and soon find himself in increasing danger. He then left Talon but unfortunately, Talon is in the midst of hunting him down either to kill him or bring him back.

Baptiste is Hero 30 in Overwatch, and will be in PTR sooner rather than later. This is what we know of his skills and abilities thus far:

His Biotic Launcher fires a three-round-burst that rewards accuracy and recoil control with significant damage output. His alternate fire lobs grenades that heal allies near the point of impact.

With Regenerative Burst , it activates an intense surge that heals himself and nearby allies over time. When danger is near, he can toss out his Immortality Field to prevent allies from dying. Baptiste moves around the battlefield with Exo Boots , jumping over obstacles and clearing distances that would stop other heroes. He deploys his Amplification Matrix as his ultimate, which doubles the damage and healing effects of friendly projectiles.

Overwatch is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net.

Pokdepinion: Always felt like the game needed more support heroes. Now, I hope the next new hero will be a tank class.
