While Razer has an exceptional lineup of wireless gaming mice, they are pretty pricey. Also there’s a subset of gamers who prefer having a physical connection, despite the wireless mice of today having virtually no difference when it comes to connection quality. But hey, Razer wants to cater to all gamers, and that’s probably why we have the Razer DeathAdder V2 and Basilisk V2.

The two mice leaked out a week ago, with most of the details being pretty spot on, despite just the package leaking out. The Razer DeathAdder V2 and Basilisk V2 both sport Razer’s latest innovations, including the 20 000 DPI Focus+ optical sensor, Razer Optical Mouse Switches rated for up to 70 million clicks and of course, the Speedflex cables which makes wires less cumbersome.

The Razer DeathAdder V2 continues using the same shape as its predecessors, making it great for both palm and claw grip users. Razer upgraded the shell with a new sweat-resistant coating and threw in rubberized side grips for better control. The mouse now weighs an airy 82 grams, making one of the most best gaming mice even better.

Meanwhile the Razer Basilisk V2 shares more in common with the Razer Basilisk Ultimate than the original Razer Basilisk. Featuring the new, sharper profile, the Razer Basilisk V2 comes with the same customizable scroll wheel resistance and a clutch key which you can remove if you don’t want additional buttons on the side. The Razer Basilisk V2 is also a bit lighter than the Razer Basilisk Ultimate, coming in at 92 grams versus the Ultimate’s 107 grams.

The Razer DeathAdder V2 is priced at RM349, while the Razer Basilisk V2 is just a smidgen pricier at RM390. Both mice are expected to be available starting 20th January 2020 from selected retailers.

Pokdepinion: I must say, I am quite interested in the Razer DeathAdder V2… My first ever gaming mouse was the Razer DeathAdder Black Edition and I loved it so much I scraped off the rubber coating, replaced the mouse switches, before the scroll wheel started acting up…
