Realme has finally taken the wraps off the Realme 3, with mid-range specifications across the board. However with its price ranging from as low as Rs 8999 (~RM517), it stands to offer some impressive bang for buck.

All of that mid-range hardware is crammed into a plastic body that comes in a beautiful Radiant Blue, a darker Dynamic Black which also features a mesmerizing blue sprinkles across the back. And then there’s the boring Classic Black.

The display is probably the weakest link in the Realme 3, with it featuring a sad HD+ resolution despite measuring a good 6.2″ across. The screen-to-body ratio is also pretty good at 88.3% thanks to its dewdrop notch, but yeah, that resolution is going to be a bummer.

Here are the specifications of the Realme 3:

Realme 3 Specifications

  • MediaTek Helio P70, octa-core up to 2.1 GHz, 12nm FinFET
  • ARM Mali-G72 MP3 @ 900 MHz
  • Up to 4GB RAM
  • Up to 64GB storage (expandable via microSD up to 256GB)
  • 6.2″ HD+ LCD display, dewdrop notch, 88.3% screen-to-body ratio
  • 13MP f/1.8 + 2MP depth sensor, Hybrid HDR, Nightscape, Chroma Boost, Portrait Mode
  • 13MP f/2.0
  • ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie
  • 4230 mAh battery, 10W charging
  • 3GB+32GB: INR 8999 (~RM517)
    4GB+64GB: INR 10999 (~RM632)

As it stands it appears the the Realme 3 is more of an upgrade for those coming from the Realme C1 and Realme 2. It’s really affordable, but let’s see how much it will cost once it arrives officially here in Malaysia.

Pokdepinion: I am probably most interested to see what Realme brings to the table with ColorOS 6!
