Realme Set For Malaysia With Three Smartphones — A Contender For The Market?
Previously we’ve reported on the company Realme, which is set to enter the Southeast Asia market. It seems that they will be bringing in three devices in the form of the Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, as well as the Realme C1.
Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, & Realme C1
First up is the Realme 2. Featuring a 6.2-inch display that comes with a screen-to-body-ratio of 88.8%, it is sports a 2.5D nanoscale composite material. Under the hood, it packs a big 4230mAh battery and the phone comes with an AI Power Manager, which they claimed can help on providing an exceptionally long battery life.
Running on it is Color OS 5.1 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo) and it utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. Storage wise, it comes in two variants; 3GB/32GB or 4GB/64GB.
For cameras, it sports a dual camera setup at the back with 13MP+2MP lens, while for selfies, it comes with a 8MP shooter.
With the Realme 2Pro, it comes in a smaller 5.5-inch display with a 16:9 ratio. It is packed with a Snapdragon 660 chipset and comes with AI. The Realme 2Pro is equipped with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If that is not enough for you, you can expand it up to 256GB through microSD.
Battery is 3500mAh big and it comes with an AI sleep mode, which they’ve said can smartly sense circumstances in which users are using the phone, employing different power saving strategies, thus prolonging usage.
The phone comes with 16MP rear dual cameras, with the primary lens is equipped with an IMX398 sensor that supports dual-core focusing, f1.7 aperture and 6P lens. As for the front camera, it sports a 16MP shooter.
Last on the list is the Realme C1. Coming in as an entry-level device, it offers a Snapdragon 450 and packs 2GB RAM which is paired with 16GB of internal storage. Display wise, it offers a 6.2-inch which comes with Full HD 1080p.
Battery of the device is quite big at 4230mAh and the phone also offers a dual rear camera setup (13MP+2MP). It’s front shooter is just a 5MP camera and the Realme C1 runs on Color OS 5.1.
Pricing and availability of these phones are yet to be announced, but we expect it to be coming real soon.
Pokdepinion: It would be interesting to see how they will fare in the smartphone market, since they competition is rather tough these days. The most important part is for them to get their price right. Overprice them by just a little bit, and no one will choose to buy.
