Red Bull Coliseum’s first season debuted last year with three main games namely Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and FIFA 16 with a prize pool of RM50,00. The tournament was a huge success, attracting over 1,100 gamers, paving the way for Season 2 and beyond.

Red Bull Coliseum also initiated new partners this season which include MSI as their official laptop partner, Digi Telecommunications as their official streaming partner, Logitech as their official computer peripherals partner and AirAsia, their official partner for regional travel packages for selected tournament participants.

Due to encouraging interest and engagement from the Malaysian eSports community, Red Bull eSports Zone will continue to add more new and interesting gaming-related content which include gamer lifestyle articles, monthly webisodes that’ll feature both familiar and fresh faces as well as tournament highlights.

Pokdepinion:  It’s good to see our local eSports scene getting this attention and promotion. Though I’m not particularly a fan myself, I can see the appeal in these sorts of competitive gaming tournaments as it brings the gaming community a lil bit closer together. The future of Malaysian eSports looks to be a bright one.
