The first Redmi device is finally going to be offered officially here in Malaysia. While we are just only getting the Redmi Note 7, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has already been launched in India. Whether we will be getting the Redmi Note 7 introduced in China with the 48MP camera or India’s Redmi Note 7 with just a 12MP shooter remains to be seen.

Regardless of the version, DirectD revealed that the official Malaysian Redmi Note 7 will be covered by an 18-month warranty, longer than the usual 12-month warranties we usually get with smartphones.

We are also somewhat curious about the official pricing of the Redmi Note 7 here in Malaysia,  with the pricing for the China variant of the Redmi Note 7 starting from just RMB 999 (~RM606). The Indian version starts from Rs 9999 (~RM574), but that’s probably not nearly as interesting.

With Samsung’s Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 expected to feature pretty competitive pricing, Xiaomi would have to play their cards right to not have their position in the bang-for-buck scene usurped by Samsung.

Which variant do you think Xiaomi Malaysia will bring in to Malaysia, and how much do you think the Redmi Note 7 will cost? Let us know!

Pokdepinion: Hopefully we are getting the 48MP camera version!
