Just recently at their Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has introduced their new foldable device in the form of the Galaxy Fold, where it features the world’s first 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display.

It can fold into a compact device with a cover display, offering a new way to multitask, enjoy your games and videos, and more. Thanks to their new polymer layer, they’ve created a display around 50% thinner than the typical smartphone display. It comes with a hinging mechanism that opens like a book and closes flat and compact with a click.

Two batteries and the components are evenly distributed to the device, giving you a balanced feel in your hands. The Samsung Galaxy comes in four color variants; Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green, and Astro Blue. Its 4380mAh battery can be fast charged both wired and wirelessly.

Additionally, they’ve made the unique UX that allows you to utilize multi-active window, so that you can open up to three active apps simultaneously on the main display. A perfect way to multi-task.

Thanks to its Dynamic AMOLED display and sound by AKG with the stereo speakers, you can enjoy your favorite movies and games in rich sound and color. It comes with a next-gen AP chipset and 12GB of RAM, which is more than an average laptop would offer these days. Internal storage is 512GB (UFS3.0).

In terms of cameras, it offers flexibility. Coming in with six cameras, there’s three in the back, two on the inside, and one on the cover. Also, you are able to still use other apps even when you are on a video call.

Samsung Galaxy Fold will be made available in the second quarter of the year and starts at the price of US$1980 (roughly RM8084).

Pokdepinion: It’s safe to say that the device isn’t made for everyone. It’s more like giving out a statement. Walk down the street, and people will notice you, that’s for sure.
