Samsung Unveils CJ791 – World’s First Thunderbolt 3 QLED Monitor!
At this year’s CES 2018, Samsung Electronics will debut their new C7791 monitor, which is the first curved monitor to feature Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
Through the Thunderbolt 3 cable, users can link and dock their monitor and laptop without excessive wiring. It can give processing speeds of up to 40 Gigabits per second, a rate which is four times faster than USB alternatives. Rest assured, it is compatible to docks, displays, and peripheral devices including Macs, USB Type-C laptops, and other desktop accessories like storage drives or external graphics cards. With the cable, it also allows up to 85 watts of laptop charging power.
Featuring a 21:9 aspect ratio, it provides more screen for multitasking. With its 3440×1440 ultra-wide QHD resolution, it improves content and imagery with nearly 2.5 times the pixel density of full HD atlernatives.
The monitor isn’t just for working only. Gamers can take delight with the display’s QLED reflects color across a 125% sRGB spectrum, creating visual intruge through deeper blacks, brighter whites and pristine shades.
There is also a host of integrated features that gives gamers an ‘edge’ such as Game Mode, which contains a dynamic gamma setting that intuitively adjust color and contrast of each scene to produce a true-to-life environment. Response time in the monitor is 4ms, ensuring smoother transition as well.
In addition, it features 1,500R curvature and ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angle, giving users a complete view of their surroundings and ensuring immersion throughout. With the display’s height-adjustable stand and tilt functionality, it gives users the option to customize positioning and work from their most comfortable viewing arrangement.
