Samsung’s new microSD is ready for 4K recording — Samsung PRO Plus micro SD

Samsung has just recently unveiled its newest microSD, the Samsung PRO Plus with 128GB storage, based on Samsung’s advanced MLC NAND flash technology. The 32GB and 64GB options were first introduced in May 2015.

The new Samsung PRO Plus microSD is aimed towards the growing consumer base that will use the cards with action cameras, drones, premium smartphones and DSLRs with 4K recording and playback features.

The Samsung PRO Plus 128GB microSD card is designed to be compatible with any devices that has a microSD slot. It equipped with Samsung 4-proof features which include waterproof (IEC 60529,IPX7), temperature proof, X-ray proof and magnetic proof.

The Samsung PRO Plus microSD will be available in more than 50 countries with 10 year limited warranty.

 

Pokdepinion: I’m using the Samsung EVO 64GB and it is capable of recording 4K video footage with my ASUS Padfone S. But with average write speeds of 11Mbs, the Samsung EVO doesn’t meet the requirement when it comes to 4K video recording with DSLRs.
