After waiting so long, it looks like we’re finally gonna be getting what many gamers have been requesting over the years. Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass has officially been announced by the folks over at Croteam and Devolver Digital.

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass Officially Announced

Over the past couple years, developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital have been working diligently on the Serious Sam series, releasing titles like Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope, and Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour. Hardcore fans of the series should rejoice though, as Croteam and Devolver Digital have officially announced Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass today.

This is the 1st new mainline entry in the series since Serious Sam 3: BFE in 2011. According to the game’s developers, Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass will retain the series’ classic over-the-top action with hordes of enemies and super powerful weapons, but will do so on a much bigger scale than previous entries.

While details on the project are currently quite scarce, Croteam and Devolver Digital are promising to reveal more about the game later this year at E3 2018. Until then, this short announcement trailer at the top of this post will have to do.

You can check out the reveal trailer for Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass at the top of this. At the moment, there is no word yet on which platforms it will be releasing on nor the release date / release window for it. We’ll be reporting on the matter as soon as information becomes available. Most likely, it will be during E3 2018 unless they decide to announce a few things earlier.

Pokdepinion: I remember playing Serious Sam 2 with my brother in the old days, being overwhelmed by hordes of enemies while trying my best to survive. Guess I’ll be facing a repeat of that sometime in the future. Not that I’m complaining though.
