Sony’s latest flagship, the Sony Xperia 1 finally made its mark at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. The device is the world’s first smartphone to come with a 4K OLED display and is the company’s first to offer a triple rear camera setup.

It sports a 6.5-inch display which offers a 3840x1644p resolution that supports HDR to enjoy your video contents. In addition, it is supported by Dolby Atmos, which fires audio from the stereo speakers.

The cameras that located at the back are three 12MP modules, where the main lens sports a 1/2.6″ sensor that’s paired to a f/1.6 with Opical SteadyShot (OIS+EIS) and Dual Pixel autofocus. It comes with a Cinema Pro app, where you get to utilize 24fps recording, color profiles, and management on your videos.

Other than that, the Xperia 1 comes with the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC and it is packed with 6GB RAM that’s paired with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. If that is not enough, you can further expand it up to 512GB through a microSD card.

A neat feature is that you can record your gameplay of your gaming through its Game Enhancer mode and you can even commentate through its 8MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it comes with a 3330mAh battery that comes with a specialized Battery Care and Smart Stamina mode.

The phone comes with an IP68 waterproof rating and Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. It is expected to come out of Spring of this year though no pricing and availability has been announced yet for Malaysia.

Pokdepinion: As specifications go, it certainly looks interesting, apart from the battery capacity. Though it’s not confirmed to be coming out to Malaysia, one thing’s for sure is that the price won’t be cheap, considering how high Sony has priced their devices in the past.
