The new iPad Pro is the most powerful tablet on the planet — does away with bezels and home button for more screen!

Apple has just upped the ante with the new iPad Pro 11″ and iPad Pro 12.9″. Apple has done away with the home button to fit more screen in a smaller footprint. The tablets are also the thinnest yet, measuring just 5.9mm thin. But that’s not all.

The LCD displays in the new iPad Pro feature ProMotion technology which automatically sets the refresh rate up to 120 Hz for a more responsive experience with the iPad Pro. It also features wide color support and True Tone for critical color evaluation. Thanks to the minimal bezels, the iPad Pro 11″ fits in the same footprint as the older 10.5″ model.

In terms of performance, the new iPad Pro comes with the most advanced mobile chipset ever. The A12X Bionic is built specifically for the iPad Pro, with a new octa-core CPU and a hepta-core (7 core) GPU cluster for ridiculous amounts of performance. The CPU is claimed to deliver up to 90% higher multi-core performance as compared to the previous generation. Despite all that horsepower, the iPad Pro is claimed to deliver an excellent 10-hour battery life.

A Pencil and a Keyboard to conquer all your creative work?

All that power might come in handy when Adobe brings Photoshop CC on iPad and Project Aero for augmented reality to the iPad Pro. Apple has also brought out a new Apple Pencil which can magnetically attach to the iPad Pro when it’s not needed, and charge wirelessly while attached. A new Smart Keyboard Folio protects the new iPad Pro, while providing a comfortable keyboard to type on.

Apple has also dropped Lightning on the new iPad Pros in favor of USB-C. This change is somewhat expected, considering that Apple has always been touting the iPad Pro’s capabilities to replace traditional computers. The port offers USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds for transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps, as well as support for external displays up to 5K. The iPad Pro can also be used as a powerbank from its USB-C port.

Pricing starts from RM3499 for the iPad Pro 11″, while the iPad Pro 12.9″ starts from RM4349. The new iPad Pros will be available in two colors, silver and space gray, and come in three storage configurations: 64GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. You can get the new iPad Pros at ITWorld!
