One of the most hyped up smartphones of 2018 and much of 2019, has just been discontinued. While the POCOPHONE F1 has yet to have a true successor, it is no longer being manufactured. But it’s not because POCO doesn’t want the POCOPHONE F1 to compete against the new POCO X2, but because Qualcomm no longer makes the Snapdragon 845 chipset.

It’s pretty understandable considering the Snapdragon 845 is almost two years old now. While it has aged pretty well and still puts up a fight against today’s mid-range chipset, it’s old. POCO has promised to continue supporting the POCO F1, although for how long remains to be seen.

For now, the POCOPHONE F1 can no longer be found on Xiaomi Malaysia’s official Lazada and Shopee stores. There are some resellers still clearing off their existing inventory, and of course you can get it from the flourishing secondhand market.

An excellent mid-range device with a flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset.

If you are still holding on to your POCOPHONE F1, you might want to keep using it until the POCO F2 or something that can truly match the POCO F1’s legacy comes around.

Pokdepinion: I still love my POCOPHONE F1.
