Remember when I was lamenting on how we aren’t sure whether we are getting the Indian Redmi Note 7 or Chinese Redmi Note 7? Well it seems that Redmi will be launching the Redmi Note 7 internationally, and hopefully that’s the variant we will be getting.

From the teaser, there will definitely be a 48MP camera on the back. The variant that is coming to Malaysia will probably be pretty much like China’s Redmi Note 7, with a Snapdragon 660 under the hood, instead of the Indian Redmi Note 7 Pro which features a newer Snapdragon 675.

This will represent quite a big upgrade for users coming from the Redmi Note 6 Pro or Redmi Note 5, as the two devices tout the much weaker Snapdragon 636 chipset. The most important thing however is the pricing. The Redmi Note 7 is priced starting from RMB 999 (~RM608) in China, so it should still be pretty affordable once it makes it to our shores.

We will know the actual pricing for the Redmi Note 7 as we get closer to 19th March 2019, which is when the Redmi Note 7 will be officially offered here in Malaysia.

Pokdepinion: I really hope we get the Twilight Gold color option! Even if it doesn’t look the slightest bit gold.
