[UPDATE: No more love for Streamyx] TM offers promotions on UniFi and Streamyx plans; but where is UniFi Lite?

TM’s latest promotion once again favors new subscribers instead of loyal customers, with big discounts on their UniFi and Streamyx plans.

After the UniFi Lite plan was offered for RM99 for a short period before the promotion was discontinued “until further notice”, TM is seemingly back with more promotions. This time, they are offering promotional rates in a similar fashion across their entire range of Streamyx and UniFi plans, with the exception of the UniFi Lite. This promotion is part of their latest Bonanza Campaign.

Hi. Yup, the promotion start from 1st Nov-31st Dec 2017. The promotion is applicable for new UniFi and broadband and for existing to upgrade to a higher value package. Migration to same or lower package is not allowed within contract.

We are seeing pretty substantial discounts of up to RM90 off the bill for the 100 Mbps UniFi Pro plan. The promotional subscription fees will be valid for the first 24 months, which will translate to really big savings over the two-year period. The following are the discounted rates under this latest promotion:

UniFi

30 Mbps UniFi Advance RM139 (save RM60 per month, RM1440 over 24 months)
100 Mbps UniFi Pro RM239 (save RM90 per month, RM2160 over 24 months)

Streamyx

1 Mbps Streamyx RM68 (save RM42 per month, RM1008 over 24 months)
2 Mbps Streamyx RM83 (save RM47 per month, RM1128 over 24 months)
4 Mbps Streamyx RM88 (Save RM52 per month, RM1248 over 24 months)
8 Mbps Streamyx RM89 (Save RM71 per month, RM1704 over 24 months)

As you can see, you can save up to RM2160 over the 24 month promotion period. Just like the UniFi Lite promotion, this promotion is only valid until this 31st December 2017. In yet another classic move by TM, they decided to stop the Bonanza Campaign for their most widely available service, Streamyx. Good job TM. This was confirmed by user SBaharyz who contacted the ISP via the live chat service on their official webpage.

Pokdepinion: I think I will be heading over to a TMPoint pretty soon! I am currently paying RM138 for 4 Mbps. The RM1248 saved can go towards a Mi A1! I guess TM really doesn’t value Streamyx users since most of Streamyx subscribers have no other fixed line alternative to go for anyway. Digi’s data plans are looking incredibly interesting right now…
