Have a great business idea in your head right now? Better document it, and sign up for  the 2018-2019 Startupper of the Year Challenge by Total Oil. Oh, and you have to be age below 35 years old.

Registration has begun, and the top 100 participants will be shortlisted by mid-November. There will also be a online public voting period. The panel of jury will review the votes, and the top 15 participants will be selected to present their business proposals to the panel, who will then pick the top three winners in February 2019. The winners will be announced in the first week of March 2019.

Your business ideas or projects will be assessed based on their innovative nature, positive impact on society and community, as well as the feasibility and potential for development. The esteemed lineup of jury members include Leon Foong, CEO of Socar Malaysia, MDEC’s Vice President, Norhizam Kadir and the Managing Director of Total Oil Malaysia, Sachin Singh.

The top three winners will receive a cumulative RM100 000 in terms of funding, as well as coaching from the jury members and also marketing support. There is also a new Top Female Entrepreneur award to encourage participation from women entrepreneurs. Total Oil Malaysia wants to encourage more women to be entrepreneurs with this special award.

The first prize winner from our Malaysian chapter will go on to the global level, where a grand jury will be appointed to select six overall grand winners, among the first prize winners of each country. Total Oil is commited to nurture young talents in countries where their business operates.
