Vivo today unveiled the company flagship smartphone with the new Vivo V5 features a 20MP selfie camera as the main highlight. With the first brand ambassador, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Vivo has step into the selfie arena with its Vivo V5.

The front camera, using the SONY IMX376 it boasts together with the Selfie Softlight features to creates the lighting effects giving the soft radiant for a perfect selfie. Vivo dedication in searching the beauty secret, the Face Beauty Mode 6.0 features allows every selfie taken to become flawless in the most natural manner.

For the rear shooter, it comes with 13MP camera with Phase-Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) and LED flash. For the in-built camera customization, it includes Panorama, HDR, Night, Ultra HD, PPT, Motion Track and of course the Face Beauty too.

The Vivo V5 is a 5.5-inch smartphone with IPS display and HD resolution. Powered by the MediaTek MT6750 SoC octa-core processor it coupled with 4GB of RAM. For the storage, it comes with onboard 32GB and expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. For a whole day selfie session, it packs with a 3000mAh battery.

Well it’s not only made for selfie-obsessed, but the Vivo V5 give a punch in audio with the custom-made Hi-Fi audio chip the AK4376. Promising for high-fidelity audio with signal-to-noise ratio up to 115dB.

In term of software the Vivo V5 will be using the Android Marshmallow with its Funtouch OS 2.6 which is well-known as “iPhone running in an Android” tease. With the latest UI, it brings the new iteration of Split Screen 2.0, splitting the screen in two to improve multitasking. Currently supports video streaming, Facebook, Line, Messages, Viber, WeChat, WhatsApp, YouTube, Video, Play Movies & TV, VLC for Android and MX Player, with more coming soon.

Available in pink and gold color, the Vivo V5 will soon available on 26th November priced at RM 1299 which is quite affordable and might hurt some brand within the price range.

Pokdepinion: Vivo skip from V3 to V5 as in Chinese beliefs the number 4 is thought to be unlucky and taboo.
