Xbox Series X May Be More Powerful Than the PlayStation 5 20 Xbox Series X May Be More Powerful Than the PlayStation 5 21

We are on the cusp of a brand new generation of gaming, with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X expected to launch in Holiday 2020. As we slowly approach the holiday season, more and more details about the consoles have started to surface. The latest round of information seems to point at the Xbox Series X having superior performance over the PS5.

The latest leak shows two tables; one for Microsoft’s consoles and the other for Sony. The most interesting one here is the specifications listed for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While the CPU is the same, the Xbox Series X has the superior GPU with 56 custom Navi compute units over the PS5’s 36 compute units. While there is also a difference in storage speed there, it could translate differently depending on the internal software.

If the leak is proven to be true, then it’s clear that Microsoft is getting more aggressive in the console gaming space compared to the current generation. This is especially the case with the number of game developers in their arsenal now, including 343 Industries, Ninja Theory, Rare, Obsidian Entertainment, and more.

Previously, we learned that the PlayStation 5 would be sold at a lower price than the Xbox Series X. The leaked specifications, if true, could lend credibility to the previous leak. For now, do take this information with a grain of salt. We’ll be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: Not too worried about which console is stronger but which one has the better library of games. That we will find out soon enough.
