Xiaomi Mi 8 Officially In Malaysia — Mi Robot Also Joins The Party

Xiaomi has announced that their flagship Mi 8 is now available here in Malaysia. It comes with the Snapdragon 845 chip, dual AI 12MP camera as well dual frequency GPS for accurate navigation.

The Mi 8 will be available in two versions 6GB/64GB and the bigger 6GB/128GB storage. Both versions will be available in three color variants; Black, Blue, and White (the White color will be available in September).

Specs also include a 3400mAh battery, which comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support for fast and charge charging. With the Mi 8, it elevates the photography experience that the company delivered with their Mi MIX 2S. With its 12MP AI dual camera, it received a 105 photo score on DxOMark, making it one of the best smartphone cameras in the world.

As for the front, it packs a 20MP camera for selfies. It also comes with new features such as AI-enabled Studio Lighting function, where it allows portraits to look like they’ve been shot in a professional studio setting.

Design wise, it features a 6.21-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that comes with a four-sided curved glass back panel. With its dual frequency GPS, it is the first smartphone in the world to adopt the technology. By having both the L1 and L5 bands, Mi 8 can provide super-accurate navigation, making navigation a breeze.

You can get the Mi 8 6GB/64GB variant for just RM1,599 which is available on 16th August and RM1,899 for the 6GB/128GB variants which is coming on 18th of August.

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum

Besides the Mi 8, they’ve also launch their Mi Robot Vacuum, an intelligent robot vacuum for your house. With the Mi Robot Vacuum, it can assess its surroundings, allowing it to clean homes in a smart and efficient way.

Features of the bot include a Laser Distance Sensor, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping algorithm, Wall sensor and speed-adjustable side brush, and a 5200mAh battery that allows up to 2.5 hours of sweeping.

With these much features, it comes in just two buttons; Power and Home. You can access more functions by connecting Mi Robot Vacuum to the Mi Home app.

The Mi Robot Vacuum is available now at authorized Mi Stores, Lazada and Shopee at a retail price of RM1,099.
