It’s been rumored that Xiaomi’s new Mi7 will have an early 2018 release to get a head start over their competitors. The device is poised to to rock a 6-inch 18:9 ratio bezel-less OLED display. The Mi7 should feature Adreno 630 graphics and Qualcomm’s fast X20 LTE modem, all inside of its Snapdragon 845 chipset.

Xiaomi may not sell their devices as much as Samsung or iPhone but benefiting from this collaboration is Qualcomm, as Xiaomi also has an in-house System on Chip (SoC) development team. Xiaomi has the forthcoming Surge S2 smartphone designed on 16nm FinFET, while its subsequent successor will be knocked down to 10nm.

Getting back with the device itself, the Mi7 is reputed to also include a dual rear-facing cameras, while having a glass/ceramic body design.

While other details of the phone are still kept in the dark, the phone will have variants on the storage and RAM department. That saying, they are expected to be offered at a competitive price, in order to grab a larger piece of the mobile market share. We guess we’ll have to play the waiting game first to get official details about the device itself.

Pokdepinion: I know we still haven’t reach 2018 just yet, but I can’t wait to see what the mobile phone market is going to be like next year and what will they bring new to the game.
