The Sony HT-G700 soundbar is a 3.1ch Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundbar that includes Immersive Audio Enhancement. The feature gives you upgraded / upscaled surround sound experience up to 7.1.2 channel surround sound. The soundbar itself has three front speakers combined with their own proprietary signal processing for a more immersive audio experience.

Moreover, the S-Force Pro is capable of uplifting sound to fit a wider TV screen, even past 55-inches, which makes it easily fit with any TV. You can also choose from a variety of audio modes for a more tailored listening experience such as Cinema Mode for movies and Music Mode for songs. In case you want more emphasis on voices, there is a Voice Mode which accentuates speech as well.

Interestingly, the Sony HT-G700 has a standalone, wireless subwoofer with a larger cabinet size which is said to deliver deeper, richer bass sound. The soundbar itself is easy to setup as you can use either Bluetooth for wireless connection, and HDMI for a single wired connection via ARC / eARC.

The Sony HT-G700 will be launching in Malaysia sometime in September 2020. It will then be available at Sony Stores in KLCC and The Curve, Sony Store Online, and Sony authorized dealers nationwide. The retail price will be announced at a later date so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: Would like to see if this is a noticeable improvement over the HT-X8500 as I feel like that one would have been better with a standalone subwoofer. Can’t wait to try it out myself.
