In view of the haze situation shrouding Malaysia, Xiaomi Malaysia just gifted 100 units of the Mi Air Purifier 2S, worth a total of RM65 800 to Malaysian schools. Several schools in Johan Setia, Klang will be receiving the Mi Air Purifier 2S after an official presentation ceremony between the Ministry of Education and Xiaomi Malaysia.

Johan Setia is currently one of the areas with the highest air pollution index (API) readings in Malaysia. The contribution is part of Xiaomi Malaysia’s CSR program, to ensure that students and teachers in Johan Setia can breathe easier in these hazy times.

The Mi Air Purifier 2S occupies less area than a sheet of A4 paper, yet can clean up a 21 mroom in just 10 minutes with its Clean Air Delivery Rate of 310 m3/h. It features 943 intake holes which allow the powerful fans in it to suck in a lot of air from the bottom and blow out the clean filtered air out the top. Aside from filtering particulates from the air, an activated carbon filter can also rid the air of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like formaldehyde as well as malodors.

And just like the rest of Xiaomi’s smart devices, the Mi Air Purifier 2S can be controlled by the Mi Home app. Power it on or off, view real-time air quality data, switch modes and monitor the filter’s remaining life all through the app.

The Mi Air Purifier 2S retails for RM658 and is available on Lazada, Shopee and the Authorized Mi Stores nationwide.
