[CES 2022] Razer Enki Pro Hypersense and Project Sophia Reimagines Gaming Furniture

Out of the gaming PC and into your home as the Razer Smart Home app and Razer Chroma Smart Home were announced at CES 2022. Here’s what you need to know.

As announced at CES 2022, the Razer Smart Home app will be coming your way, which will let you make use of the Razer Chroma RGB lighting ecosystem for your home. Together with your gaming peripherals, the idea here is to integrate smart bulbs, light fixtures and more from other brands into their new app via the Razer Chroma RGB Smart Home program.

From what we know thus far, the integration plan currently includes over 50 hardware partners and 200 games. This includes Nanoleaf, LIFX, Yeelight, Monster, and Twinkly. With the announcement, there is hope for more companies to come on board. It’s worth noting that Philips Hue is missing, though the bridge integration can work with Razer Synapse to sync with peripherals.

In theory, it should work similarly to Philips Hue, but there’s not much to go about aside from a simple screenshot of the Razer Smart Home app. At the moment, it does appear to be limited to just lighting, which is said to come with 16.8 million colours and a suite of lighting effects.

For now, the Razer Smart Home app is expected to launch on both Android and iOS sometime in the first half of 2022. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: Honestly, even if it’s just my Razer gaming peripherals, I would like to give this app a try. Sounds like it might be fun and easier to set the mood right.
