ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid (XP4) and ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 now available in Malaysia

Need a WiFi upgrade for your new home? Well, ASUS has something new for you, regardless if you want wider WiFi coverage over your entire house, or high performance connectivity for your gaming needs. Say hello to the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid (XP4) and the ROG Rapture GT-AX6000.

ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid (XP4) offers a trio of mesh backhaul connections for RM1298

The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid is an innovative addition to ASUS’ lineup of ZenWiFi mesh solutions. It offers up to 5500 sq.ft. of WiFi coverage with speeds of up to 1800Mbps, but it offers an extra feature that’s quite interesting. Unlike most of the prior AiMesh routers and also competing mesh routers, the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid harnesses an additional backhaul connection. On top of the standard Ethernet and WiFi backhaul options, the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid can also make use of a powerline backhaul with the HomePlug AV2 MIMO powerline technologies.

This allows you to take advantage of your home’s electrical wiring system to deliver speeds of up to 1300Mbps between the main router and the mesh nodes. Thick and metal-reinforced walls can hamper the ability for mesh nodes with a wireless backhaul to work, and while Ethernet backhauls are an option, it means additional wires running around your home. Adding nodes is also a simple affair, with the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid supported by the AiMesh ecosystem. You can simply add any AiMesh node and the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid will intelligently choose the best backhaul connection for all the connected nodes.

Security is handled by AiProtection Pro, powered by Trend Micro, with regularly updated security signatures to protect your privacy of all connected devices. The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid also features ASUS Instant Guard to secure public WiFi connections like in a cafe, with a private VPN to offer the safest possible public WiFi connection.

The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Hybrid (XP4) is available starting 3rd March at RM1298 from both Shopee and Lazada.

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000, a high performance gaming router at RM1968

For gamers, the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 features a fast 2.0GHz 64-bit quad-core Broadcom CPU and flagship Broadcom WiFi 6 chipsets to deliver 6000Mbps speeds. With the RangeBoost Plus technology for enhanced range, you are assured of a fast, stable WiFi connection over a larger area in your home. The ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 also harnesses WAN aggregation to enable up to 3.5Gbps of WAN bandwidth, to support the fastest internet connections you can get from your ISP. In Malaysia, that would be 1Gbps for most of us, but hey, there’s room for faster internet speeds in the future.

Since we are on the topic of Ethernet, the Rapture GT-AX6000 features a second 2.5Gbps LAN port that you can connect to your primary gaming machine or a high-speed NAS device. You probably don’t really need to worry about the ROG Rapture GT-AX6000’s WiFi connection holding you back though, as it features an exclusive triple-level game acceleration to enhance your gaming experience, and there’s even a Mobile Game Mode to prioritize your mobile gaming device.

If what you need is wider coverage, the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 also supports AiMesh technology, allowing it to be the main router or one of the nodes, if you decide that you need such a high performance mesh node, that is. And last but not least, it has an overtly gamer-ish styling, complete with Aura RGB to make sure that no one in your home mistakes it for being just a router.
