Apple’s most powerful computer launched; the iMac Pro powered by Radeon Pro Vega for 22 Tflops of performance!
Apple’s most powerful computer powered by AMD’s latest professional graphics, the Radeon Pro Vega has just launched. The new iMac Pro takes performance to the next level with up to 22 TFlops of half precision performance, up to 16GB HBM2 memory for over 400GB/s of memory bandwidth, thanks to the Radeon Pro Vega GPUs in it.
The new iMac Pro pairs the Radeon Pro Vega GPUs with Intel’s latest Xeon W processors, offering up to 18 CPU cores with HyperThreading, for a total of 36 processing threads, running at up to 4.3 GHz with Turbo Boost and up to 42.75MB of cache.
The new iMac Pro’s extreme specifications doesn’t stop there. Apple all-in-one desktop is probably the most powerful ever in the market, with support for up to 128GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 ECC memory running in quad channel, 4TB SSD storage with up to 3.3 GB/s write performance, four 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 ports, 10 Gb Ethernet and a 27″ Retina 5K display with support for the DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nits brightness.
The starting price? $4999. Perhaps you can start selling your kidneys if you really need to edit 8K videos in real time, or do anything really quickly. There really isn’t anything stopping you with the performance offered by the new iMac Pro.
