ASRock have the world’s first Mini-STX (5×5) PC for business and education
ASRock has teamed up with Intel to release the ASRock H110M-STX, the world’s first building block 5×5 mini-STX motherboard and the world’s first mini-STX building block PC the ASRock H110M-STX MINI PC.
The mini-STX or known as 5×5 board is a new standard by Intel which have even smaller size than the mini-ITX motherboards. With an Intel H110 chipset it support latest Intel Skylake processor up to 65W TDP meant for less power consuming than average desktop configuration meanwhile stay flexible and powerful than NUCs.
User is not only limited to installing Intel desktop processor on the ASRock H110M-STX MINI PC but also have enough headspace to squeeze in an Intel Skylake stock cooler. The ASROCK mini-STX is support on-board Intel HD Graphics with a full set of VGA, HDMI and Display port and yet still have a room for 2.5inch storage.
Pokdepinion: A new and smaller form factor which obviously wouldn’t hit to consumer market for a few years but it might strive on business, OEM and education segment.
