One of the most anticipated hardware releases this year is the AMD Ryzen 3000 processors. AMD showcased an unnamed AMD Ryzen 3000 at CES 2019 going toe-to-toe with the Intel Core i9 9900K, in single-core performance, an area which was previously AMD’s Achilles’ heel. While they didn’t announce when it will hit the market, there is reportedly a launch date in sight now.

According to Planet3DNow, AMD will be releasing all their latest 7nm products on 7th July 2019, or 7.7.2019. We know AMD isn’t shy of boasting about their 7nm manufacturing process (case in point, Radeon VII) so a 7th July launch does seem very appropriate.

AMD will be introducing their AMD Ryzen 3000 desktop processors as well as GPUs based on their new AMD Navi GPU architecture. There will also be new motherboards based on the AMD X570 chipset, allowing users to take advantage of the AMD Ryzen 3000’s PCIe 4.0 capabilities, and whatever extra features the newer CPU brings.

With that said, since the AMD Ryzen 3000 processors will still be on the AM4 platform, it should work with older motherboards. It will be good for enthusiastΒ who are moving up from older AM4 processors to have the option to purchase a newer motherboard at a later date instead of splurging on a new motherboard AND a new processor at the same time.

The report also goes on to state that AMD may be making an announcement at Computex 2019, which is happening around the end of May 2019, so it’s only a 3-month wait from now. Stay tuned for more updates about the upcoming 7nm products from AMD as we will surely be providing more coverage about them.

Pokdepinion: It would be interesting to see if the AMD Navi cards can be more interesting than the Radeon VII… Well they would have to be.
