While I personally think that the AMD Ryzen XT series doesn’t make much sense considering that AMD is still in the lead for almost everything except for gaming performance, apparently AMD doesn’t feel the same way. The Ryzen 5 3600XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT has appeared on Amazon Italy, revealing more about the upcoming Matisse Refresh processors.

The AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT slaps on an extra 100 MHz of maximum boost, while maintaining the same TDP as its predecessors. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT will run at up to 4.5 GHz with a 95W TDP, instead of the 4.4 GHz that the Ryzen 5 3600X is capable of. Meanwhile the Ryzen 9 3900XT still carries a 105W TDP rating and now is specced to run at up to 4.7 GHz, versus the Ryzen 9 3900X’s 4.6 GHz boost clocks.

That’s all nice to know, until you find out that the new processors are up to 32.5% more expensive than the currently available AMD Ryzen processors. I am not exactly sure if you can justify a massive price hike like that with a small 100 MHz bump.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT Amazon Italy

Amazon Italy’s listing of the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT puts it at a cool €569.69 (~RM2738), while the AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT is positioned at €284.84 (~RM1369). The Ryzen 9 3900X goes for €462.48 (~RM2223), and the Ryzen 5 3600X is a lot more affordable at €214.99 (~RM1033). That’s a 23% hike for the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT from the Ryzen 9 3900X, and a 32.5% increase with the Ryzen 5 3600XT from the Ryzen 5 3600X.

AMD Ryzen XT Specs

Max Boost Clocks (GHz) Cache TDP Price
AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT 4.7 70MB 105W €569.69 (~RM2738)
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 4.6 70MB 105W €462.48 (~RM2223)
AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT 4.5 35MB 95W €284.84 (~RM1369)
AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 4.4 35MB 95W €214.99 (~RM1033)

Of course, these listings might be to throw us off a bit. According to the Amazon Italy listing, more information will be revealed on 16th June when the NDA lifts, with the Ryzen XT processors set for 7th July launch date. Stay tuned!
