Intel Core i9-13900K Supposedly Breaks 40,000 Points in Cinebench R23

Some new details on the upcoming Intel Core i9-13900K CPU has surfaced online, and this time by Twitter user @OneRaichu. It appears that the CPU has managed to surpass the 40,000 mark in Cinebench R23, if the screenshot is legitimate. To be precise, the score is 40,616 points.

From what we understand thus far, this specific Intel Core i9-13900K CPU was overclocked and was allowed to draw an “unlimited” amount of power, with PL1 and PL2 levels shown to be as high 4,095.9W. The actual power draw itself is said to be around 340W to 350W. This would put it roughly 48% faster than the current generation 12900K and 67% faster than the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.

It’s said that two of the P-Cores were running at 5.8GHz while the rest were slightly lower 5.5GHz, and all of the E-Cores were running at 4.3GHz. Without overclocking, the single core performance is practically the same but the multi-core performance is just slightly over 4,000 points.

For now, we expected an official announcement on the 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU lineup in September 2022, with the Intel Core i9-13900K clearly leading it. We don’t expect it to be up for sale until at least mid-October, but there’s always a chance it might happen later instead. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: As attractive as high performance can be, make sure you have an adequate cooler to go along with it. No point in getting a powerful CPU if you can’t sustain its performance.
